World Environment Day

  World Environment Day 2022 celebrations were hosted on June 6th, 2022 by the 20th batch of first year B.Sc. Nursing students, Lisie College of Nursing. The function was inaugurated at Lisie hospital reception by Rev.Fr. Joseph Makothakkat, construction coordinator at 10:30 am. The programme started with a prayer song followed by a welcome speech by Rinu Tomy, first year B.Sc. Nursing student. Rev Fr.Joseph Makothakkat did the inaugural address. Prize distribution to the winners of the English and Malayalam Caption writing and Photography competition related to World environment day theme was done by Rev. (Fr.). Dr. Paul Karedan, Director, Lisie Hospital and Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions, Rev.Fr.Joseph Makothakkat and Prof (Dr.). Usha Marath, Principal, Lisie College of Nursing which was followed by plant distribution to ten people belonging to Lisie hospital and the general public who attended the Lisie hospital OPD today. The vote of thanks was given by Aiswarya Sajeev, first year BSc. Nursing student. The programme adjourned with the lisie anthem at 11:30 am   In associations with the World Environment Day obsevations, the 2021 batch of first-year B.Sc. Nursing students of Lisie College of Nursing hosted celebrations in Centre Square mall on 6th June 2022 at 4 PM. The programs started with a flash mob in which 40 students participated, followed by a mime in relation to the theme of World Environment Day 2022, “Only One Earth”. The program intended to raise an awareness and spread of the message for the public in conserving the environment for the future generations. The programs were coordinated by Dr. Bindu John, Associate Professor and Class Coordinator and Ms. Rintu Thomas, Lecturer and Assistant Class Coordinator, with their team of teaching faculty of first year B.Sc. Nursing students, under the expert guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Usha Marath, Principal, Lisie College of Nursing, and support of Rev. (Fr.) George Thelekkat, Assistant Director, Lisie Hospital and Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions. The program adjourned at 5 PM.
