World Aids Day 2021

World AIDS day programme was organized by first year GNM students (2020 batch) of Lisie School of Nursing on 1st December 2021. The programme was started by invocation and blessings from God. Mrs. Ranjini. B (Nursing Tutor, Lisie School of Nursing) welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Paul Karedan (Director, Lisie Hospital). Rev. Fr. Rojan Nangelimallil (Joint Director, Lisie Hospital) and Rev. Fr. Joseph Makkothakkat (Construction Co-ordinator, Lisie Hospital) released the theme “Ending the HIV Epidemic: Equitable Access, Everyone’s Voice”. Other distinguished guests were Rev. Fr. Shanu Moonjely (Assistant Director, Lisie Hospital), Rev. Fr. George Thelekatt (Assistant Director, Lisie Medical & Educational Institutions), Prof. Dr. Usha Marath (Principal, Lisie School and College of Nursing). Mrs. Anju Emmanuel (Nursing Tutor, Lisie School of Nursing) delivered an awareness talk regarding AIDS, its mode of transmission, prevention, management, and the myths associated with it. The programme was followed by vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Nimmy Joseph (1st year G.N.M Student) which was followed by a street play focusing on different aspects of AIDS by first year G.N.M students. It was an attractive and informative performance which made the public more aware of the facts regarding HIV/AIDS. The programme ended with the Lisie Anthem.
