The graduation ceremony

The graduation ceremony held on June 27, 2023, at Lisie College of Nursing for the 17th B.Sc. Nursing batch was a truly momentous occasion, dedicated to honoring the achievements of the students and marking a significant milestone in their lives. The ceremony commenced with a grand procession of students and esteemed dignitaries, setting a warm and festive tone for the event. The dignitaries, adorned with grace, took their places on the dais following an enchanting invocation song, captivating the audience from the very beginning. Rev. Fr. Davis Padannakkal, the Assistant Director of Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions, extended a heartfelt welcome to the gathering with his words of gratitude, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and appreciation. His warm address set the stage for what was to come. The inauguration of the ceremony was conducted by Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Paul Kareden, the Director of Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions. With the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, he illuminated not only the stage but also the spirits of all those present. In his inaugural speech, he congratulated the graduates on their outstanding academic performance and motivated them to approach their future careers with love and compassion, emphasizing the importance of gratitude towards their teachers. Passing the lit lamps to the graduates, Prof. Dr. Usha Marath, the Principal of Lisie College of Nursing, and Prof. Dr. Lissa Peter, the Vice Principal, symbolized the transfer of knowledge and responsibility to the next generation. Prof. Manju George Pyandath, a revered professor at Lisie College of Nursing, eloquently unfolded the pledge to the graduates, instilling in them a sense of commitment and dedication to their noble profession. The graduates were honored with the presentation of their “Code of Ethics” by Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Paul Karedan, the Director of Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions, and Fr. Shanu Moonjely, the Assistant Director of Lisie Hospital. This gesture acknowledged their readiness to uphold the principles and values that would guide their future endeavors. An integral part of the ceremony was the distribution of awards for academic excellence across various categories. The first award, recognizing Ms. Snehamol Jose as the academic topper, was met with thunderous applause. Ms. Akshara M was celebrated as the best outgoing student, while Ms. Sonu Poulose received accolades for being the best bedside nurse. The alumni awards were bestowed upon Ms. Anna Rose Davis from first year, Ms. Megna Martin from the second year , and Ms. Snehamol Jose from the third year honoring their remarkable performance in clinical nursing practice . Adding to the excitement, the annual college magazine, “KALISTA-2023,” was unveiled by Rev. Fr. Davis Padannakkal, and the first copy was presented to Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Paul Karedan. This literary masterpiece captured the essence of the students’ journey and celebrated their accomplishments. Dr. Babu Francis, the Medical Superintendent of Lisie Hospital, and Prof. Dr. Usha Marath, the Principal of Lisie College of Nursing, graced the gathering with their inspiring words of felicitation. Their valuable insights and encouragement uplifted the spirits of all those in attendance, fostering a sense of pride and optimism for the graduates’ future. Ms. Akshara M, representing the graduating batch, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the faculty, parents, and management, infusing the atmosphere with joy and appreciation. As a token of their gratitude, the outgoing batch presented a CPR mannequin to the college, symbolizing their commitment to learning and their enduring legacy. Prof. Dr. Usha Marath graciously accepted this generous contribution on behalf of. Dr. Bindhu John, an esteemed Associate Professor at Lisie College of Nursing, delivered an eloquent and heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude on behalf of the entire gathering.
