lighting Ceremony for the 61 st Batch of General Nursing

The lamp lighting Ceremony for the 61 st Batch of General Nursing and Midwifery students of School of Nursing, Lisie Hospital was held on 22/03/2023 at 10.30am. The lamp lighting ceremony formally recognizes the students’ entry into nursing profession. It is an important event, were the lamp symbolizes the light that a nurse becomes to her patients and as a symbol of hope and comfort to those who are suffering. The program commenced with a prayer song. Mrs. Leena R, vice Principal, School of Nursing welcomed the gathering. The ceremony was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Paul Karedan, Director, Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions and addressed the student nurses with the importance of love and compassion in the nursing profession. The lit lamp was passed on to novice nurses by Capt. Icy Joseph and Sr. Renjtha CSN. Rev. Fr. Davis Padannakkal, Asst. Director, Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions, Capt. Icy Joseph, COO and CNO, Lisie Hospital and Dr. Usha Marath, Principal Lisie College of Nursing felicitated and congratulated the students on this occasion. Sr. Renjitha CSN, Principal, School of Nursing unfold the pledge to the students and congratulated them. Fr. Rojan Nangelimalil, Joint Director, Fr. Jetto Thottungal, Asst. Director and Construction Coordinator and Fr. Hormis Mynatty, spiritual father were present in the program. The awards for clinical and practical excellence under various categories were distributed. Miss. Monica Mary Melbin, first year GNM student proposed the vote of thanks. The ceremony ended at 11.45am followed by Lisie anthem.
